As some may know, I have decided to close the studio in Sutton in Ashfield. This may initially seem saddening or an odd move after such efforts transforming the space, but the past year has been such a massive learning curve. The main lesson is that there are more suitable locations for what I have to offer; this has become increasingly obvious as time passes. I am so thankful for the incredible connections I have made in Sutton, with whom I will remain in touch. Ultimately, if you realise something isn’t right, it’s time to take a different path.
I’m excited for the year ahead, which will now focus on networking, mobile pop-ups, exhibitions, and craft fairs in some lovely locations throughout Derbyshire – a strategic move to connect with a broader audience who share a genuine interest in my art and design. I also hope to learn what studio location(s) may work for me.
In this journey, I’ll focus on using my actual name, Sarah Taffe, rather than Evoke Visual Creative Studio, which I have come to consider as my place of work rather than my identity. A personal touch that aims to strengthen designer-client connections, making it clear that I’m the creative you will deal with!
This transition allows for more flexibility, increased visibility, and the chance to build meaningful connections beyond the confines of a fixed location, ultimately fostering a more vibrant and sustainable artistic journey.
I will keep you posted on my events, and thank you for your continued support.
