As many of my current clients will know, our 2022 kicked off in the worst possible way. On New Year’s Day, my beloved husband Justin died very suddenly and entirely unexpectedly. This has ‘knocked me for six’, and I have taken a couple of months off work to absorb this news and help our children through the most challenging thing they have ever faced.
The time has now come to plan my return to my employed Creative Lead role and Freelance as Evoke Visual, and I can genuinely say I’m feeling optimistic about returning to work. I have excellent working relationships with current clients and meetings planned for new ventures, so things are looking set for my March return and spring at Evoke Visual. I will also be exploring the topics of grief and mental health on my blog diggingtheearth.org.uk and in my Derbyshire Times column.
We have also been taking great comfort in fundraising for the British Heart Foundation, if you’d like to view, donate or share, please find Justin’s page here: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/justinspositivity
I want to take this opportunity to thank all involved for their unwavering support and patience with me at this difficult time; my brilliant employer and my fabulous freelance clients, you have all been excellent. I look forward to working with you again very soon.
If you would like to get in touch about a new project, I would love to hear from you. Please reach out via the contact page here.
Sarah.
